Job description

Our Client, a leading national contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis in their Cardiff office. Our Client has a secured workload and a hugely busy period commencing

You ideally will have;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field desirable
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with exposure to housing frameworks- voids, retrofit, responsive and reactive maintenance
  • 3 years minimum experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Estimating experience and proficiency in using cost estimating software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Quantity Surveyor: 3 years (required)
  • Responsive Maintenance experience 3 years(required)

Requirements

  • Administer contracts, including subcontractor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for materials and labour.
  • Collaborate with site teams to assess project requirements.
  • Estimate quantities for concrete, formwork, reinforcement, and related items.
  • Identify potential risks related to cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Mitigate risks through effective planning and communication.
  • Manage project data using specific project codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and progress.
